Obituary for Herbert Frank Norman

Herbert Frank Norman, 80, of Kansas City, KS passed away on Sat., Nov. 3, 2012 at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Fri., Nov. 9, at the Alden – Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Kansas City, KS. Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 pm, Thur., Nov. 8, at the funeral home.
Mr. Norman was born on Dec. 12, 1931 in Edwardsville, KS and grew up in the McClouth, KS area before moving back to this area in the early 1950’s. In his early years he loved being a farmer and farmed for several years before going to work as a millwright for Fairbanks – Morris where he worked for 36 years retiring in 1993. He enjoyed restoring old cars, which he has done over most of his life, but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially at Lake of the Ozarks.
He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Lena Mae Norman, a brother Alfred Norman, 2 sons Roger and Rick Norman, and a great granddaughter Johnna Fergate. And is survived by his wife of 22 years Dorothy Norman of the home. 3 sons Randy Norman, Terry Jantz and Ronald Jantz. 3 daughters Teresa Bayne, Paula Sulls and Shawn Benorden. One sister Betty Norman. 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, as well as a host of other family and friends that loved him and will miss him greatly.
