David A. Pierce, age 60 of Bonner Springs, Kansas, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at his home on Monday, January 25, 2016. Visitation will be 10 to 11am Thursday followed by the Funeral Service at 11am, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor, Kansas. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.

David was the third of nine children born to John and Ruth (Stuteville) Pierce. He was born on August 6th, 1955 in Kansas City, Missouri and grew up in the Argentine area of Kansas City, Kansas. David married Connie (Lading) in 1975 and together they lived in Bonner Springs where they raised their children. David had worked at Electro Bumper Company in Kansas City, MO and later worked at Reddi Services in Bonner Springs. David was also a part owner of D&G Lawn Care. David loved his country living and raising horses. He was preceded in death by his father, two sisters Joyce Pierce and Judy Williams. Survivors include his wife Connie Pierce of the home, two children; Shaun Pierce of San Antonio, TX. And Kelli Maxwell and her husband Brad of Bonner Springs, five grandchildren; Gage, Bailey, Adley, Paxton and Everlee, His mother Ruth Pierce of Kansas City, MO., six siblings; John E. Pierce and wife Mary of Bonner Springs, KS., Carol J. Pierce of Kansas City, KS., Mary A. Goering and husband Mark of McPherson, KS., Cinda L. Cogle and husband John of Shawnee, KS., Linda M. DeSeure and husband Danny of Kansas City, MO., and Paula C. Beasley and husband Matt of Las Vegas, NV., as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
