Rosie L.  Acton, R.N., MSN
Rosie L. Acton, R.N. MSN, age 77, of Parkville, MO. and previously of Eugene, OR. passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2016. Visitation 10-11, Funeral 11am, Oct. 15 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, burial in Lenape Cemetery near Bonner Springs, KS. Memorials to Nature Conservancy in care of the funeral home.
Rosie L. Acton, was born October 01, 1939 in Belle Plaine Borough, Minnesota. She graduated from Carrollton High School, Carrollton, MO. in 1957. Rosie became a Registered Nurse and graduated from the University of Kansas in 1962 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). She completed her education at the University of Minnesota graduating with a Masters in Science in Nursing (MSN) in 1969. She enjoyed world travel, cross word puzzles, fishing and hunting, automobile racing, skiing, making chocolates, and gardening. She loved the outdoors and was an advocate for Nature Conservancy. She was preceded in death by her father George Acton, mother Anna Koepp, brother Wesley Acton, and sister Dorothy Leffler. She is survived by: Sisters: Lois Daly and Mary Litchfield, Sister in Law: Judy Acton (Wesley), Nieces and Nephews: Jimmy Acton, Tammy Ellis, David Blevins, Todd Wombell, Anita Stock, Brenda Soto, Carla Daly, Stacey Crew, Amanda Pritchett, Trisha Litchfield and 15 Great nieces and nephews.
