Obituary for Jack David Freeman

Jack David Freeman, age 68, of Shawnee, KS passed away on Fri., Nov. 11, 2016 at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, MO. The family will receive friends at the visitation from 5 to 7 pm, Mon., Nov. 14, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS and the funeral Mass will be at 10:30 am, Tue., Nov. 15, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Monticello Rd and Johnson Dr. in Shawnee, KS with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in St. Joseph, MO. The Family has suggested memorial contributions to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in care of the funeral home. Jack was born May 31, 1948 in St. Joseph, MO where he was raised and graduated from Central High School in 1966 and Missouri Western State University, where he received his bachelors degree in Business Administration. Jack was a U.S. Air Force veteran and had worked at Mead and later Del Monte Foods and Acosta Sales and Marketing retiring in 2013. He was proud to have been an Eagle Scout and loved watching his grandsons sporting events. Jack was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Barbara Freeman and a sister Pat Gish. And is survived by his wife of 48 years Peggy Freeman of the home, one daughter Tracy Murdie (Mike) of Olathe, KS; one brother Dick Freeman (Judy) of St. Louis, MO; one sister Jan Toland (Garland) of Woodland, CA; and two grandsons Jack and Ben.
