Roy G.  Davidson
Roy G. Davidson, age 87, of Bonner Springs, KS. passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Visitation will be 5pm-7pm Friday, May 19 and Funeral will be 10am Saturday, May 20, both at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial in the Chapel Hill memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Troup #249, Topeka, KS.

Roy was born on Feb. 17, 1930 in Kansas City, KS. He grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and was a 1949 graduate of Wyandotte High School. He had been a TV Repairman at Elmer’s TV Repair in Bonner Springs and at Montgomery Wards in Kansas City, MO. Later he worked as a manager at the Bonner Springs Federal Credit Union, retiring in 1998. Roy had volunteered his time with the Edwardsville Fire Department, Bonner Springs Jaycee’s and was a life member of the Bonner Springs Masonic Lodge #366 and Wyandotte Lodge #3. He had been the Secretary in the Bonner Springs Lodge for over 12 years and also served as Chaplain. Roy was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nadine (Laughery) Davidson in 2009, one brother Charles “Chuck” Wayne Davidson and one grandson Matthew Davidson. Survivors include his two sons; Gene L. Davidson and wife Tammy, and Kenneth W. Davidson all of Bonner Springs. One daughter JoAnne N. Tuck and husband Gary of Tonganoxie, KS., six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
