Obituary for Glen A. Webb

Glen A.  Webb
Glen A. Webb, age 90, a longtime resident of DeSoto, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Hillside Village Assisted Living in DeSoto. Funeral Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, July 15th at the Elm Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at a visitation from 11am to 1pm prior to the funeral, also at the church. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Elm Grove Baptist Church.
Glen was born on March 26, 1927 in Medicine Lodge, KS and was the youngest of two sons born to Elza & Laura (Robinson) Webb. Glen had worked for over 30 years at Sweet Lumber Company in Kansas City, KS. retiring in 1989. In his retirement he continued in woodworking and built custom homes and various projects for family, friends and the Church. Glen was a Founding and Charter Member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church and was a longtime Church Treasurer, Deacon, and Trustee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Nellie L. Webb in 2010, he was also preceded in death by his parents and brother Clyde Webb. Survivors include his seven children; Glenda Morris (Maurice) of New Braunfels, TX., Joe Webb (Kathleen), Roy Webb (Janet) all of DeSoto, KS., James Webb of Olathe, KS., Gary Webb (Lisa) of Scottsdale, AZ., Kenneth Webb (Joyce) of Shawnee, KS., Judy Scupham (Larry) of DeSoto, KS., 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, as well as other extended family and a large loving church family.
