Donald “Al” H. Gronau, age 79, of Bonner Springs, KS., passed away on Thursday Aug. 3, 2017 at the Kansas City Hospice House. Private Family Graveside in the Lenape Cemetery near Bonner Springs, KS.

Al was born on Feb. 6th, 1938 in Dennison, Iowa and has been a longtime area resident since meeting and marrying Linda (Sutton) Gronau in 1963. He retired as a Truck Driver after 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Local #41. Al was a lifetime member of the Loyal order of Moose Lodge 1999 in Kansas City, KS. He was a big fan of car racing and loved to go to Lakeside Speedway on Friday evenings. Al was preceded in death by one grandson Nicholas Ingram in 1998 and one brother William Gronau in 2011. Survivors include his wife of 54 years; Linda Gronau of the home, one daughter Susan Ingram of Lawrence, KS., one sister Evelyn Lauber of Mission, KS., two grandsons; Zack Ingram (Audrea) of Eudora, KS., Seth Hunter of the home, two great grandchildren Nicholas and Felicity.
