Yvonna Mae Riley

Yvonna Mae (Todd) Riley, age 81, of Kansas City, KS., passed away on Aug. 4th, 2017 at the Riverbend Post-Acute Rehabilitation Center from Alzheimer’s disease. A celebration of her life will be 1-4pm Saturday, Sept. 2nd, 2017 at the Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave. in Kansas City, KS. Memorial Contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s and or Leukemia research.

Yvonna was born on July 4th, 1936 in Colwell, Iowa. She was a 1954 graduate of Argentine High School. She married John Washington Riley of Atlanta, Missouri on Feb. 6th, 1955. Yvonna was a long-time member of Grinter Chapel UMC and she worked for several area businesses as a secretary and bookkeeper. She raised three children and enjoyed traveling and meeting people wherever she went. Yvonna was preceded in death by her father, William Elbert Todd, her mother Ethyle Zola Todd, four adult brothers; Berdell, Donald, Clifton, and Jesse Todd, and three infant brothers; Billie, Dean, and Gerald Todd. Survivors include her husband John Riley, three children; RickL Riley (Michaela), Cheri Saint (Gary), and Dav Riley (Therese), eight grandchildren; Richaela Staley (Mark), Tiffany Mellott, Derek Mellott, Elizabeth Saint, Brienn Riley, Amber Berry (John), Mackenna Riley, and John Riley, seven great-grandchildren (all of the Kansas City area), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
