Jerry Lee  Streeter
Jerry Lee Streeter, age 67, of Basehor, KS. passed away on Wed. Sept. 6, 2017. Visitation 6-8pm Mon. Sept. 11 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Graveside Funeral Service 11:30am Tuesday, Sept. 12 at the DeSoto Cemetery, DeSoto, KS.

Jerry was born on Nov. 17, 1949 in Arkansas. He grew up and attended school in Bonner Springs. Jerry started working at an early age for his Dad in the construction industry. While working with his dad he learned how to operate heavy equipment and became very good at it. Jerry was regarded as one of the best machine operators and his specialty was heavy machinary . He was even flown all over the country to run heavy equipment in special situations. Jerry was a longtime member of the International Union Of Operating Engineers, Local #101. His pastimes included; hunting, boating, water skiing, tubing, leatherworking, cooking, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Proceeding him in death were his parents; Dorothy and Bert Kooser, as well as several aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife, of 14 years; Cari Streeter of the home, four children; Christine Reed of Kansas City, KS., James Van Beber and wife Chenoa of Basehor, KS., Bobbi Newman and husband Chris of DeSoto, KS., and William Streeter of the home. Five grandchildren; Austin, Lauren, Caleb, Cort and Krista, and a host of extended family and friends.
