Ellenor Kay Large, age 70, of Linwood, KS., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017. Visitation 10-11am, Funeral 11am, both Friday Nov. 3 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Sarcoxie Cemetery near Linwood. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Diabetes Assoc. in care of the funeral home.

Ellenor was born on Sept. 20, 1947 in Kansas City, KS., and had worked as the Librarian and City Clerk for the City of Linwood. She enjoyed being an active member of the Linwood Luminaries and the Gruffies Group Book Club. Ellenor was also very proud to be active in the mentor program, “Youth Friends” in the Basehor-Linwood School District. Ellenor was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Gary Keith Large, Sr. “Butch” in 2008, she was also preceded in death by her parents Arthur D. & Genny (Brown) Moore, and by one sister Sharon Price. Survivors include, her son Gary Keith Large, Jr. and wife Julie L. of Linwood, KS., one sister, Shelley Moore of Linwood, KS., two brothers, Riley Moore and wife Ruth and Arthur Moore and wife Linda, all of Overland Park, KS., one granddaughter, Julianne Hawkinson and husband Ty of Basehor, KS., two great-granddaughters Kylie & Emma Hawkinson, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
