MARGARET A. CHILES
Margaret Abbot Chiles, 88 of Basehor, KS passed away on Sat., November 4, 2017 at the Brookdale Rosehill Nursing Home in Shawnee, KS. The Family will receive friends at the fellowship time from 2 to 3 pm, and the Celebration of Life Funeral service will be at 3 pm, both on Thur., Nov. 9, at the Alden - Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS with burial to follow in the Glennwood Cemetery in Basehor, KS. Margaret was born on Dec. 29, 1928 in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Northeast High School and later attended Park University where she met her husband George Lee Chiles. She previously attended Northeast Presbyterian Church and was more recently a member of the First Baptist Church of Basehor, KS. She loved raising her family and grandchildren and really enjoyed being a great Seamstress sewing all kinds of costumes and Christmas dresses and even Bedspreads and decorations. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Lee Chiles of the home and four children Cathy Grube and her husband Mark of Basehor, KS; Chuck Chiles of Nokomis, FL; David Chiles of Tonganoxie, KS and Becky Kiene and her husband Pete of Shawnee, KS. One brother Ralph "Bud" Younkin of Naples, FL. Nine grandchildren Brian, Lisa, Laura, Brent, Melanie, John, Doug, Josh and Anna. And fourteen great grandchildren.
