Russell B. Reid, 94 formerly of Kansas City, KS died on November 12, 2017 at the Life Care Center of Citrus County in Lecanto, FL. Russell was born on October 2, 1923 in West Frankfort, IL, son of Benjamin and Ruby Reid. He served in the US Army during WWII. Russell was a District Supervisor for P.N. Hirsch.
Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his wife, Freelie Reid and his brother, Eugene Reid. Survivors include his son, Rusty Reid (Carol) of Hernando, FL; sister, Ruth Ellen Cobb of South Gate, MI; four grandchildren, Justin Reid (Laura) of Inverness, FL, Melissa McKenzie of Buffalo, MO, Lindsey Cole (Jason) of Lecanto, FL, and Ben Reid of Seattle, WA; and four great grandchildren, Ethan Reid and Jaelynn Reid both of Beverly Hills, Nathan Cole and Jacob Cole both of Lecanto, FL.
A Memorial Service for Mr. Reid will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Rock Crusher Church of God in Crystal River, FL with the family receiving friends from 10:00 until the hour of services. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Maywood Community Church Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Memorials may be given to Rock Crusher Church of God, 419 N. Rock Crusher Road, Crystal River, FL 34429.
