Obituary for James Robert Erickson

James “Jim” R. Erickson, age 68, of Bonner Springs, KS. and previously of Edwardsville, KS. went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Feb. 4th, 2018. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Thurs., Feb. 8th, Funeral Service 11am Fri. both at Fellowship West in Bonner Springs, burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery.

James “Jim” R. Erickson was born on Feb. 1, 1950 in Kansas City, KS. to James and LaVerne Erickson. Jim graduated from Washington High School in 1967 and went on to further his education at the University of Kansas, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. In 1976, he married Reba Erickson and together they raised three children. Jim worked at Proctor & Gamble in Kansas City, KS. as a pipefitter until his retirement in 2015. He was an active member of the Bonner Springs Baptist Church (now known as Fellowship West) for 36 years, teaching Sunday School and leading in AWANA.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Reba Erickson three children David Erickson (Angie), Rebecca Stevenson (Jarod) both of Bonner Springs, Tim Erickson (Carmen) of Montezuma, KS., eight grandchildren, Noah, Abbey, Luke, Isaac, Liz, Rachel, Adrianna and Malachi. Two sisters Joanne and Sharon Erickson and many extended family members who loved him dearly.
