Kathy A Osburn, 95, of Bonner Springs, Kansas passed away on Thursday March 8th at the Riverbend Rehabilitation Center of Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral Mass services will be at 10:30 a. m., Wednesday, March 14th, at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church on Monticello Rd. and Johnson Dr. in Shawnee KS. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Alter Society.
Mrs. Osburn was born January 23, 1923 in Pilot Point Texas. After marrying Don while he was on leave from the Navy, they made their home in Kansas. She lived in Bonner Springs almost 70 years and celebrated over 60 years with Don. She worked many jobs throughout her lifetime but was always a homemaker at heart. She was a skilled quilter and enjoyed doing what she called fancy work. Her birthday was blessed by having her youngest grandson Eric share it with her. She was preceded in death by her daughter Linda in 1961 and Don her husband in 2010. She outlived all her siblings and parents. She is survived by her children Betty Coleman of Bonner and son Don W. Osburn (Kelle) of Colorado Springs, six grandchildren Chris, Amanda, Jenny, Jason, Eric and Mariah, 6 great-grandchildren Daniel, Michael, Lucas, Simon, Evelyn and Milo.
