Condolence From: Darwyn Weaver
Condolence: Just heard of Genes passing. Was a shock to me as we talked just two months ago and he was looking forward to his 100th birthday. My prayers for the family.

Condolence: I will miss seeing Gene McGraw…at Vesta Lee, where he fixed my screen door…at my childhood home’s front door, where he never failed to deliver goods from his garden and a Brown Bottle carry-out dinner for my dad…at Sacred Heart sporting events, where he cheered on his grandkids. The memories are many. He was a kind and generous man dedicated to his faith, community, and family. The latter of which he (along with Helen) leaves a heck of a legacy. I was always impressed that Mr. McGraw remembered which Burns kid I am and called me by name. Not an easy task. While the earthly world is losing the physicality, but not the spirit, of a great man, many in heaven are excited to have a new member on the horseshoe squad. Rest in Peace Gene. God Bless the McGraw family.

Condolence: Aunt Helen and cousins,

We are so very sorry to hear about our dear Uncle Gene. My family has good memories of our summer trips to Kansas. Uncle Gene always took time to talk to us and make us feel special. May you all find peace knowing that he is home in heaven. Although we can't be with you in Kansas to celebrate his life, we are thinking of you and will pray for Uncle Gene and for all of you.

All our love,

Joyce and the entire Marx family

Condolence: I would like to express my deepest condolences to the McGraw family on Gene's passing. I have fond memories of Mr. McGraw as I grew up with Melissa in Bonner Springs. I still remember T-ball practice at McGraw field and Mr. McGraw never minding me shooting baskets in his back yard. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this time.

Sincerely,

Steve Klise
