Cody William Barton, 28, passed away on Fri., April 28, 2017. Services will be held at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. at 5:00pm on Thursday, May 4, 2017. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the burial fund at the funeral home.

Cody was born on October 30, 1988 to Vicki (Baker) Barton and William "Bill" Barton. Cody was preceded in death by his father, William 'Bill' Barton and is survived by his Mother, Vicki Barton of Desoto KS, his brothers, Joseph Clark (Azriel and Daniel) of Bonner Springs KS and Jacob Barton (Ashley Guggenheim) of Bonner Springs KS. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Mary Wilcox of Linwood KS, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends. He was known for being mellow and loving. He loved his family and friends with a deep passion for his 'fur baby' Havoc. His smile was warm, caring, happy and contagious as well as ornery.

Cody loved his Grandma Esther's 'Taco Soup', beer (preferably IPA), Rollo's and Snicker's. One of his favorite munchies was Sunflower Seeds. He was artistic not only in his drawings and carried over into tinkering with all types of motors. His dream was to open his own car shop. This was exemplified by Cody's love of extreme sports, skateboarding, dirt bikes, motorcycles and video games. Cody previously worked for Pizza Hut, Bonner Springs Thriftway, Genesis Metal Fabrication and most currently for Frank of Custom Cut Metal.
