Robert Jay Dotson, 73, of Blue Springs, MO passed away Tue. May 23, 2017 at Liberty Hospital. Graveside committal services will be at 12:30 pm, Thur., June 1, at the Leavenworth National Veteran’s Administration Cemetery in Leavenworth, KS Robert was born April 14, 1944 in Holliday, KS and graduated from Bonner Springs High School in 1962. He later was proud to serve in the U.S. Air Force. He loved all animals and was a Baptist. Over the years he had worked as a Salesman for Schick, A&P, as a Dispatcher for Lonestar Cement, for Western Auto as a Fixture Installer and Rebuyer and more recently had been a manager at a Storage Facility. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles T. and Eula James Dotson, three brothers Ulysses J., William and Charles Dotson and one sister LaVern Arguijo. And is survived by his wife Dorothy Dotson; daughter Sandra Batesel; stepson Jeffrey Sandburg; stepdaughter Susan Scott; grandson Peter Odegaard; great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; one brother Harrell Lee Dotson and a sister Lula Faye Dockstader.
